    The Pre-Construction Project Coordinator receives direction from Account Managers and Senior Project Managers providing day-to-day administrative support to assist in providing exceptional service to our customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Pre-Bid drawing review.
    • Specification reading and identification and preparation of GC scope, quality, and close-out requirements.
    • Identification of scoping requirements by trade.
    • Preparing quantity take-off and unit price estimates.
    • RS Means estimate preparation.
    • Sub-contractor solicitation and development.
    • Bid analysis and negotiation.
    • Compiling bid data to build in house unit cost data base.
    • Manage multiple projects
    • Maintain accuracy in data entry into access based system
    • Communicate schedule concerns to Senior Project Manager immediately
    • Interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company
    • Customer Service skills are key in this role, understanding the customer requirements, communicating and delivering are key components to the success of this position
    • Update Senior Project Manager or other team members to ensure strong communication
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Prioritize workflow and determine the importance and accuracy of work
    • Follow up on subcontractor activity and ensure they are on track to meet dates
    • Update status and date fields in Icon and customer systems
    • Commit to both written and verbal updates
    • Organize and prioritize functions on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
    • Issue Sub-contractor Purchase Orders, and ensure project changes are captured in Change order process.

    • Ability to handle many administrative details and routine day-to-day issues independently
    • Organized and efficient; strong attention to detail
    • Possesses flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities
    • Ability to problem solve – looks beyond the obvious to find solutions
    • Above average verbal and written communications skills required.
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel

    Education and Training:

    • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience. Construction Management degrees are preferred.
    • 2-4 years of construction industry experience/knowledge required
