    The Field Manager’s primary role is to manage exterior brand requirements for major customers. Additionally, Field Managers are expected to play a pivotal role in the accurate and timely flow of project related information between Icon project management and installers, customer representatives, general contractors & local government offices. Ultimately, the field manager is expected to provide insight into the operational specifics of each location and ensure that Icon has a clear understanding of all relevant site related issues.

    Responsibilities

    You will be integrated into a team that understands the manufacturing, distribution and ultimate application of our service. The primary objective of the Field Manager is to assist the Implementation Manager in directing and coordinating the installation process. By directing and coordinating the installation process, higher customer satisfaction will be achieved and final billing turnaround will occur on a more regular and timely basis.


     


    Reporting structure:


    The Field Manager will receive instructions from the Account Manager based on location need. Functionally the Field Manager reports directly to the Account Manager.  


     


    Specific Accountabilities:



    1. Pre-installation review: The site should be visited prior to installation to ensure that the location is ready for the required signage (e.g. the foundation has been poured and the walls are ready).

    2. Installation review: The Field Manager should review, with the installation foreman, the correct installation method and materials required by customers.

    3. Pre-site survey: A complete review of the site conditions should be performed with the installation foremen. The Field Manager should utilize the Pre-site survey form to review the criteria required by customers.


      • If any deficiencies are identified the Field Manager should bring these to the immediate attention of an Icon Project Manager. All deficiencies that are corrected by the installation crew must have written authorization by a Project Manager or Account Manager prior to any extra work being performed.

      • The Pre-site survey should then be forwarded to the Implementation Manager for the master location file.


    4. Quality control review: Upon completion of an installation the Field Manager should perform a final inspection to ensure that all signage is installed correctly.


      • The Quality Control Check Sheet should be utilized to perform this function.

      • The check sheet should be sent to the Implementation Manager for final billing.


    5. Completion Photos: The Field Manager is responsible for taking completion photos of all signs. The photos should be sent to the Implementation Manager for final billing.

    Qualifications

    Academic Requirements:



    • It is preferred that the candidate possesses an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Education and Technology, Construction Technology.

    • Equivalent experience considered.


    Experience Requirements:



    • The individual should have a minimum of one to two years job experience in a related field.

    • Specific experience with a large sign company or in the construction trades that operate on a regional or national level, preferred.

    • Computer literate and fluent in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.

    • Comfortable tracking and managing projects utilizing computer-based project tracking systems.

    • Requires face-to-face customer interaction

    • Requires 50%+ travel by auto and/or aircraft 


    A valid driver’s license issued in the state of residence is required for this position.
