Overview

The Marketing & Communications Associate reports to the Marketing Director and will assist with the coordination of planning, creating and implementing marketing campaigns for the Marketing team.  This position will support the Marketing Department and Sales team with graphically developing marketing material for customer meetings and tradeshows, conducting daily/weekly industry research, curation of weekly social media posts, Web site updates and other necessary tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the marketing strategies and events.
  • Design, build and maintain Icon’s multiplatform social media presence.
  • Copywriting, proofing and editing of marketing campaigns.
  • Create and track tradeshow calendar for marketing needs and collateral.
  • Web site updates, content creation review and updates.
  • Develop internal intranet posts.
  • Tracking industry research and update library.
  • Ownership of the Marketing Digital Library, including organizing and archiving.
  • Formatting and distribution of marketing collateral.
  • Compile marketing statistics and reports including Web site traffic, social media engagement, and digital marketing analytics.
  • Assist in lead generation campaigns and generate campaign reports
  • Complete and submit art requests for marketing presentations and collateral. Track progress of requests.

Implement marketing programs in the following channels:

  • Web, digital & E-marketing
  • Direct marketing
  • Trade show support
  • Collateral
  • Premium & sales promotion support
  • Public relations
  • Internal communications, including company intranet support
  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position

 

General

  • Since position is cross-functional, requirement to cover for vacationing/out-of-office fellow department members as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree. Marketing, Liberal Arts or PR education/background preferred. Career objectives must align with position requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience in an office environment utilizing customer service skills as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. Candidates for this position will be asked to showcase their creative work and originality through a professional portfolio featuring their designs.
